Las Vegas – Youssef Zalal made the daring accusation that Calvin Kattar intentionally grew before their event confrontation of Fight Night 251 of the UFC Night 251.
Zalal (17-5-1 MMA, 7-3-1 UFC) won his fourth consecutive victory since his return to the UFC for a second passage, and his biggest career victory to date, with a triumph of decision Unanimous on Kattar (23-9 MMA, 7-7 UFC) Saturday at UFC Apex. He clearly won the first and second round before his opponent took the third, but there was a curious to take away from the competition.
According to Zalal, who failed during his eight attempts to withdraw throughout the fight, Kattar was unusually slippery every time he got his hands, and he thinks there may have been a bad game.
“This is the crazy part: we worked a lot of grappling, and I am not, I felt like there was petroleum jelly everywhere on his legs,” Zalal told MMA Junkie and D ‘ Other journalists after the fight at the UFC Fight Night 251. “I swear to God, he was the most slippery guy I have ever seen in my life, and I had the impression that I was not trying ‘Being this guy with that and that (excuse). But guy was suspect, my brother.
“No one slips like that – so quickly. I fought a lot of good – Jack Shore and all these guys – and I felt when you are dry and all that, there is no way. It’s like that. You can deceive sport, you can do whatever you want.
Regardless of his accusations, Zalal, 28, said that he was happy to get his hands on and has his eyes on larger names in the featherweight division.
“I’m doing and it’s going to have fun at the top,” said Zalal.
