The reign of terror of Alex Pereira above the division of light heavyweights ended on Saturday when he lost his belt against Ankalaev of Magomed in the headliner of the UFC 313.

Ankalaev (21-1-1 MMA, 12-1-1 UFC) was up to the expectations of many that it would be the most difficult test for Pereira (12-3 MMA, 9-2 UFC) with a unanimous victory to capture gold during the main event at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
