Mercedes Moné learned her lesson when it comes to a public campaign that certain talents are signed for all elite wrestling.
Ever since joined AEW, Mercedes Moné has released public terrain for several talents that will join the company. None of this came to fruition in the end because everyone ended up in WWE.
During the Q&A session today at Social mediaMoné explained why he no longer says who he wants to publicly engage Aew, chirping:
“If I cited the people I wanted in AEW, the second place would sign them * Teacup Emoji * #aewceo #aewgrandlas,” Mercedes Moné said in the post.
This theory of executive director is also seemingly spreading to music artists. Shortly after Moné publicly set the idea about working with Megan Thee Thee Stallion in AEW, one of her songs became the official theme of WWE SMACKDOWN.
This Saturday, Mercedes will defend their TBS Championship at AEW Grand Slam Australia against Harley Cameron. Wrestlezone will have the results of the show this weekend after the show.
