The combatants widen their field after a spectacular year in 2024 and will now have its first location in the United States.
Mauricio Ruffy, who faces King Green at UFC 313 on Saturday in Las Vegas, revealed to MMA’s fights, he opened a branch of the New Hampshire team alongside his trading partner Yann Oliveira, the trainer striking Lee Alves and the founder of Nerds Pablo Supera.
The exact location and the opening date are still to be revealed, but Ruffy is delighted to have a new house for his teammates in the United States when they branch their only location in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
“It will be great to have a better space for combat nerds here in the United States,” said Ruffy. “We will have a place to train, with accommodation for everyone. We will also welcome other athletes, create openings so that athletes also train there. There are a lot of interested people to come and I am delighted.
Yann Oliveira is 7-0 as a professional MMA fighter and two divisions FC FIC champion, after claiming the Welter weight belts and average weight in 2024. Lee Alves formed Alex Pereira during his last round as a champion of Glory and in UFC career, causing him the titles of the UFC in two weight classes, and he now leads Ruffy.
Ruffy plans to continue to train in Sao Paulo, but also to use the location of the New Hampshire to finish the camps before the UFC fights in the United States, the same goes for the Caio Borralho teammates, Jean Silva, Carlos Prates and Bruna Brasil.
“I’m still there (in the United States) and fighters are still traveling,” said Ruffy. “For example, if I have a reserved fight and come to the United States, I will train here for a few months, or vice versa. It will make us easier. Caio, Jean, everyone is excited about this. The work will continue. We will have the lee at 100% of the time, Pablo will always be there too. It is a dream come true.
Ruffy is 2-0 under the banner of the UFC with victories against Jamie Mullarkey and James Llontop and aims to maintain the momentum on Saturday when he faces the octagon veteran 26 times Green. At 38, Green entered the cage after a defeat against Paddy Pimbett.
