Jason Jackson was disgusted to see recently published images that showed that the UFC veteran, Kevin Lee, was shaken by a training partner during a Kill Cliff FC combat in Florida.
The viral video has led to strong reactions from many fighters who train outside the Gymnasium based in Florida, including Jackson, who called this team at home long before the current name settled. After the video exploded on social networks, Mirali Huseynov became a public and identified as the combat partner who won the punch with a post on Instagram explaining his side of the situation he deleted more late.
For his part, Jackson claims that Huseynov has a reputation for going too hard with his combat partners and he actually warned that it could happen.
“I was devastated because this guy is known for this,” Jackson told MMA Fighting. “He injured me in the gymnasium. He is known for this. So when I saw the video, even the apology, it was not sincere. Everyone ate it. We felt betrayed as a community.
“All the people who were in the gym was commented on his page, the Russians and everyone with him, I even felt bad about it as fucking, don’t you see anything wrong with doing?” It’s an accomplice there.
Watching the video, Jackson knew that none of the blame was falling on Lee after stopping on a knee strike that jumps rather than landing it hunting and injuring his training partner. In return, Lee blew himself up with a huge hook that put him on a knee, letting him shake and wake up while he was trying to stand up.
Jackson says he learned from his own experiences spent training with Huseynov that he cannot punch to keep them safe, because it would only make more damage from a partner of Dangerous fight.
“You might say Kevin did not want to land this knee,” said Jackson. “He did it twice. The thing is the same week that I reconstituted it because I said that when I go with you, it is not touch, touch it and then you hit. I’m just after you. I don’t come without love, brother, brother, you injured me.
“If you know you are going to hurt me, let’s say clearly from the start. I respect you (more) as a training partner instead if you touch, touch and then try to hit me hard. They all come with this type of style. This is how they are fighting.
Basically, Jackson thinks that Huseynov was trying to draw attention with the video showing him reversing an old challenger from the UFC title during a training session. However, he believes that the video towards the public does not seem bad for the whole team because of the old adage “what is happening in the gymnasium, remains in the gym”.
“I was uncomfortable with the situation because now that makes the gym look like a spy and not a team,” said Jackson. “No one takes care of anyone.
“Try to get out of this. By saying, “My coach did it, my trainer did not know. Well, if you know that your trainer is that person who cannot control himself, you are not supposed to have it in this environment with a photo phone. It always shows that you don’t hold it responsible as a man. He is young and he is looking for glory. That’s it.
Despite Lee’s warning of what could happen, Jackson says that the native of Detroit has always chosen to train with Huseynov, but that still does not excuse what happened.
“I felt bad for (Kevin Lee) too. He didn’t deserve this because I warned him, “said Jackson. “I told him to stay away from this type. But the fact that (he) was Muslim and Kevin is Muslim, he thought in a way that they were going to take care of him but this guy is not good.
“Because in training, I simulate my training to do a notch so that you can move in certain posts and you will control and injure me. It just shows that you have no control. You feel like a teammate (you are supposed) to protect your combat partner. I told Kevin that, like, I stay far from him.
After the flight of combat images, rumors circulated that Huseynov was forbidden to train at the Kill Cliff FC, but Jackson does not know if it is correct or not. All he knows is that the viral video has made all his whole gymnasium and Jackson recognizes that sometimes there is simply no return of this.
“I’m not sure (if it is banished),” said Jackson. “I was not there with anyone who prohibited it. They can say what they want. Until I see him physically, then I don’t know because I heard that he was going to do a program (reality) or something like that. On the line, it becomes a celebrity and they bring it back immediately.
“No one was happy. Because we know we protect our guys. These guys simply use it as a training center. Not a team. It’s just a training center. They have their own team, their own coaches, they come here and try to use guys who have more skills and everything and are just for their business. These guys, I don’t know if I could consider them as a teammate. It’s hard. “”
