Anthony Smith’s latest walk to the octagon should take place in April.
Several people knowing the promotion plans have confirmed to MMA fights that Smith aims to face Zhang Mingyang at UFC Kansas City on April 26. Kangzif On Twitter was the first to report the match.
Smith will seek to conclude his career after his 59th professional fight and his appearance in Octogone. The unique challenger in the title enters the fight with consecutive defeats against Roman Dolidze and Dominick Reyes to crown 2024, but began the year with a victory against Vitor Petrino at the UFC 301 last May.
Zhang brings an impressive sequence of fighting victories in his biggest profile match with the opportunity to enter the classification of light heavyweights of the UFC. “Mountain Tiger” obtained a contract after a feeling of the UFC road in 2022, and made his octagon debut at the UFC 298 a year ago, eliminating Bendson Ribiero in the first round. The 26 -year -old followed this with another victory for direct elimination of the opening against Ozzy Diaz at the UFC Macao event in November.
