Kenzie Morrison, the son of the former heavyweight boxing champion Tommy Morrison, signed a multi-combat agreement to join BKFC and cross bare fights.
The 34-year-old truck joins the ranks of BKFC with a file of 22-1-2, including 20 KB, including a previous victory against Hasim Rahman Jr. and the BKFC veteran, Sam Shewmaker.
“I had great conversations with (the president of BKFC) David Feldman in recent months and I am very happy to join BKFC,” said Morrison in a press release. “The athletes who participate in their organization are among the most talented in combat sports and I can’t wait to compete.”
Morrison continued the heritage of his family after his father Tommy turned in celebrity in the early 1990s while involving the heavyweight division. During his career, Tommy Morrison fought Ray Mercer, George Foreman, Donovan “Razor” Ruddock and Lennox Lewis.
Of course, he was also well known for his role playing Tommy “The Machine” Gunn in the Film 1990 Rocky V where he played in front of Sylvester Stallone. He died in 2013 after suffering a cardiac arrest.
Kenzie actually started late in his own boxing career after taking sport when he was already 22, but he has built a successful career since his pro return.
While Morrison has signed a multi-combat agreement with BKFC, his first date date has not yet been determined, but he should join the heavyweight division where the UFC veteran, Ben Rothwell, currently reigns as champion.
