The WWE of the United States Championship has changed their hands on WWE SMACKDOWN.
In the main event of the WWE SMARKDOWN episode on March 7th, La Knight caused Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE of the United States Championship. Late in the match, Nakamura got a steel chair, and Knight took him from him. Knight almost ran into the referee, and Nakamura tried to use his fog to spit. But Nakamura hit the judge instead.
Knight took control, but there was no one who would count the pin. He finally hit Nakamura with a BFT to a steel chair to regain the WWE of the United States Championship.
Here’s how the match fell apart, the kindness of our playing coverage:
Nakamura is early in control and landing her sliding German; Knight reciprocates with a diving bulldog and a line of clothing over the top. A diving rope of knights. After interruption, Knight and Nakamura trade recordings. Knight is trying to bft, but the nakamura is rolling out of the ring. Nakamura tries to hit a knight with a chair. Knight blocks it. Knight almost hits Nakamura with a chair. The judge tells Knight that he will be disqualified. Nakamura brings a chair into the ring. The judge pulls a nakamure chair. Nakamura tries to fog, but the knight suffers. The judge catches the fog. Knight hits BFT in a chair. The other judge goes down to the ring to count the pin.
This signifies the second Knight Knight title. Nakamura beat him and ended his first reign in the WWE Survivor series. Nakamura, who was in his third rule, held the title for 97 days.
